Commission on Disabilities Seminar
The Commission on Disabilities will offer a seminar entitled "What Can the Commission on Disabilities Do For You" on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the Town Hall from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Business Financing Available
Financing is now available from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) to assist businesses experiencing difficulty in obtaining conventional loans for construction, acquisition, or renovation projects as well as purchase of equipment. These projects must be in designated "Recovery Zones", be shovel ready, promote economic activity, and create or retain jobs. Over $5 million is available in Berkshire County. Sheffield is part of the Berkshire County Economic Target Area which is a designated Recovery Zone. For more information about this program, click here. (02/02/10)

Fiscal 2010 New Assessments
The Town has completed the state mandated revaluation of all property in Sheffield in accordance with MA General Laws. The new valuations have received preliminary certification from the Massachusetts Department of Revenue as being consistent with the market value as of January 1, 2009.
