	The Sheffield Fire Department is made up of 33 volunteer Firefighters. Burning permits are for BRUSH ONLY and are issued from January 15th to April 30th. Permits must be obtained prior to any burning and can be obtained by calling 229-7034. Please remember to include your name, location of burning and your phone number. All brush burning must be done in accordance with Mass. Department of Environmental Protection Open Burning Regulations Sheffield Volunteer Hose Company
