Friday, May 14: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Saturday, May 15:8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Sunday, May 16: 8:30 AM to 12:00 NOON
BULKY WASTE COUPON REQUIRED
One coupon for each household that has purchased a FY2010 Transfer Station sticker, allowing disposal of one load (up to pickup truck size), may be obtained at the Tax Collector’s office, or requested by mail if you send a stamped self-addressed envelope, including your license plate number to the Treasurer/Collector’s Office, P.O. Box 367, Sheffield, MA 01257.
ITEMS ACCEPTED
Items too large for disposal in compactor such as: furniture, mattresses, rugs, etc.
ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED
Demolition debris (sheet rock, plaster, fiberglass, etc.), propane tanks, wood, car batteries, white goods & recyclable metals (put in metals container next to compactor), toxic materials (pesticides, chemicals, oil, etc.), and items which can normally fit in the compactor.
TIRES ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
No Cathode Ray Tubes, TV’s, or Computer Monitors
(Accepted at recycling area regularly from residential users)
No Refrigerators, Freezers,
Air Conditioners or Dehumidifiers
(Accepted at recycling area regularly from residential users-
Freon-removal certification must be provided)
